We are currently in our Beta phase! This means we are actively rolling out new features and making improvements every day based on your feedback. While the core platform is fully functional, you might notice us testing things like our upcoming Escrow payment system and KYC identity verification.
Anyone with a client account can post a project. Freelancers create profiles to browse and apply for those opportunities.
To keep the platform professional and completely scam-free, we require a small fee (paid in credits) for clients to post jobs and for freelancers to submit proposals. This ensures only serious clients and committed talent connect. Any credit charges are always clearly shown before you confirm an action.
You can quickly top up your dottegigs credit balance using M-Pesa or a bank card directly on the platform. Credits do not expire, so you can purchase them in advance and use them whenever you need to post a gig or send a proposal.
We provide built-in tools for freelancers to generate and send professional invoices directly through dottegigs. Clients then pay the freelancer via their agreed method (like M-Pesa or bank transfer). While we do not hold funds during our Beta, an on-platform Escrow system will be launching soon.
We have strict dispute policies in place to protect both parties. If an issue arises, our support team will step in to mediate based on those policies. Because we rely on the platform’s records to make a fair decision, you must keep all communication, briefs, files, and invoices strictly on dottegigs. Accounts found violating our policies may face suspension.
Trust is our top priority. First, every user verifies a phone number — clients before they can post a job, freelancers before they can apply — so the people you deal with aren’t anonymous. Our credit fee adds a further filter against spam. Second, we are currently rolling out a Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification system for freelancers during this Beta phase. Finally, our rating and review system allows you to check past work history before you hire or accept a project.
